Faith versus knowledge is something of a false dilemma. For there's an integral way of balance in between:
[+/-] Experience
[+] Knowledgde
[-] Faith
I don't really seek this primal truth by anything. All you need to do is to open your head, heart and body to act in harmony with Nature's will of balance, which is also the will of God: for did he not write the book of Nature with all of its patterns, again giving the truth as words for men? When men come to disagree and quarrel with their diverging faiths, it's time to return to the primal book of nature that reveals the true face of God, Word, and Pure Spirit. Our quarrels emerge when our hearts and souls are tainted with selfish/sinful weeds, not basking in the primal light and spirit of purity day and night.
I have written this after pondering on discussions with several Christian believers, to create more connections between perennial wisdom and the patterns of the Abrahamic world. Please read it in light of all the patterns of the Word you know from the Bible. If you truly know and have felt and seen your Bible as truth in your heart, you should have no problems in relating to the wisdom in the text. Otherwise, please stay put until I have adequate time to write the necessary articles where world religions are referenced with their source scriptures in pointing to a unified path of balance, which is the will of God and the force of Nature.
If you follow and grasp the underlying thread in this, you will have no problems understanding the symbolism and applicability of the principles in the Book of Revelation from the beginning to the end, churches to torches and horsemen to six-winged creatures, the throne of God and the martyrs underneath, the dead in Christ who will rise to the clouds to meet the Lord, etc. etc. which are clear as day to me when I read the text.
The Bible was collected into its extant form hundreds of years after Jesus Christ; as such, I find it hard to believe that it'd represent the entirety of the word of Jesus Christ. Especially given how short the accounts of his life and sermons actually are! I heartily agree however that it represents the heart of the Word, and therefore should be studied to understand its principles in a systematic and holistic manner.
People just quote and quote, and then fail to explain the deep wisdom in those words when challenged. To me, this is nothing but vain idolatry of the Word. It is not a Word of Heart, and therefore the greater part of contemporary religious preaching is so fundamentally fruitless. We need to find the heart of the prophets and the truth of their message. No-one in their right mind would follow a flock of zealous falcons who are flying half-blind, missing the calls of their original falconeer.

While we're going universal fishes and breads, and since the tradition of Jesus has been using the same 8x sequence map (as amply clear in the Book of Revelation and the division of 4x + 8x apostles) at its root, let's have the famous 666 figure on this grid as well. (Please refer to the Wisdom Flow Human Life-cycle Model for more context.)
[+-+] 6. Fire = Adulthood = Analytical Cognition = [Body-N-Intellect]
This is the polarity that corresponds to analysis, science, rationality, etc. and stands before 7.[++-] Lake of Profundity or entering the Well of Wisdom in the human being. Without the [Body-Heart-N] integration of [+] evolving spirit, we will never reach the [+++] Integral Heaven of a holistic and synchronized [Body-Heart-Intellect] human level. However, this level and potential are the whole underlying point of the entire human process of growth!
When the human life-cycle stops in its tracks and people stay in the [+-] Causality Loop of 5.[+--] Arousing Maturity and its climax in 6.[+-+] Analytical Material Science, we end up with a ![++] Warped Big Picture that worships the 8.![---] Beast of Earth in the reverse direction, fueling 6.[+-+] consumerism to no end and halting the straight and holistic path of cognitive human evolution.
This throws the 1.[---] fertile Earth more ![±] out of whack than any other junction in the life-cycle ever could — it is the most dangerous of them all. Then, when the [+++] Body-Heart-Intellect is never reached, we find false hope in the 6. [+-+] analytical approach of [Body-N-Intellect], as it gives us a rational sense of well-being — even while our heart is growing hollow.
When the society comes to a point where the 6. [+-+] fire of consuming analysis saturates the entire [Body-Heart-Intellect] totality, we have a 666 life-cycle stagnation. This is obviously a detrimental "stuck in loop" situation for the [±] balance of the [---] earth — so the ![±] balance tips and the ![---] Beast of Earth emerges. What we need is a move onward to the [++-] lake of wisdom and onwards to [+++] integral humanity.
It's hard to not see the same thread concurrent across the scriptures, when it's screaming out at you at almost every page. I like to weave them together; it makes me feel more whole, for myself and my royal mixture of faiths and perspectives for one, and also in healing the cracks in the contemplative history of mankind. Here are two more Abrahamic and Dharmic perspectives to encourage the noble cause of balance between all.
The symbol of Ichthys (ΙΧΘΥΣ) has two intersecting symmetric arcs, and together they form the perennial fish of balance. Have two friendly fishes, one for men and the other for women, and the stream flows on. Then let the two fishes eat the five elemental breads in the profound lake of life, and we all have a belly full of sould and body food. Here's a stanza from Isha Upanishad, one of the ten principal classic sources of Vedanta philosophy.
īśāvāsyam idam sarvaḿ yat kiñca jagatyāḿ jagat /
tena tyaktena bhuñjīthā mā gṛdhaḥ kasya svid dhanam // Isa Up. 1
"All of this is covered by the great sharing master, whatever sojourns in the revolving universe. As he has left, so you should partake; do not cover the wealth of anyone else!"
There's an alternative rendering in the Bhagavata-purana (8.1.10), where the first quarter reads: ātmāvāsyam idaḿ viśvam -- "By the self, this entirety is covered." Isopanishad consists of only 18 verses, and as such has been commented on by countless Hindu teachers, both ancient and modern.
